Under the very good sunlight, grey horse looked very white, and has some markings on the coat...which made it so much tougher to replicate it.
I had more than a week to draft, colour and struggle doing this.
In the end, somewhat I could managed to do...I hope this is acceptable level for the person requested the portrait..
芦毛の馬をパステルペンシルを使って描きました。
とても強い日差しの下でとられた写真をベースにしたので芦毛というかもう白い。
しかも私の苦手な向き。
なのでかれこれ一週間以上かかって下描き、色相決め、塗りこみと四苦八苦＆試行錯誤しながらゆっくりゆっくり仕上げました。
仕上げは・・・なんとかごまかせたかな？
依頼主様の大切な馬がモデルなので、その想いに少しでも近づけた絵になってればな、と思います。
