Pen Cai 盆菜

Chinese New Year Meals are generally super duper heavy.
Meat, meat and meat!

Especially the dish called "Pen Cai", it is mix of heavy stuffs.
This is the Pen Cai served at Shiu-Bo's relative house.

Small abalone, fish maw, deep fried yam, crispy pork (roasted pork), pork rib, chicken meat, white raddish, mush room, seaweed called Huat Cai...etc...

It's really heavy, in fat and calories...


旧正月の料理は基本超ヘビーです。
肉・肉・肉ですが、中でも盆菜(プンチャイ)はその中でもヘビー。

















シウ坊親戚の家でいただいた盆菜。
トコブシ、魚の胃袋、揚げたヤム芋、ローストポーク、ポークリブ、鶏肉、大根、しいたけ、白菜、モズクのような海草(Huat Cai)などなど・・・。
