If someone loves moussey dessert like me, this can be one of the choice.
There are many nice spongy cakes in New Zealand but I have not met nice mousse here yet.
We had Raspberry mousse macaroon and Dark Chocolate mousse with coconut base cake with cup of coffee.
Raspberry macaroon was sweet and no sour taste at all and Dark Chocolate mousse was nice in each layer but not merged into one. It was very individual taste.
I think these cakes has many rooms to improved for better taste.
Miannはオークランドで名の知れたケーキ屋さんのようです。
ニュージーランドで何が恋しいって、たいていスポンジ系かスラブ系のスイーツでムース系がほぼないのです。
私はムース系が大好きなので、このお店でムース系を食べるのを楽しみにしていました。
いただいたのはラズベリームースとダークチョコムース。
ラズベリーは大き目のマカロンでサンドしてあり、イスパハンのような印象です。
甘口でラズベリーの酸味が全くなかったのがちょっと意外でした。
チョコレートはチョコレートクリームとチョコレートでコーティングされたチョコレートムースがココナッツベースに乗っているもので、ダークチョコで見た目はいいのですが、コーティングチョコとココナッツベースがとても厚くてうまく食べられなかったのと、それぞれが独立した味で全体でまとまってなかったのが残念なところでした。
このお店はまだまだ伸びしろがあるかな、と感じました。
値段は高いけど、質があってないのか、キウイの好みなのかな？？
