Jawi Peranakan Mansion, it is refurbished heritage Mansion in Penang.
George Town Heritage hotel took 4 years to restore and give whole new life into this building. 

This little gem in the heart of George Town opened in late 2016 and holds about 20 rooms.

Jawi Peranakan Mansionはかつて実際にマンションとして使用されていた建物をGeorge Town Heritage Hotelが4年の年月をかけて廃墟からホテルへと再生させたブティックホテルです。

ジョージタウンの中心部に位置するこのホテル、部屋数は約20程度です（忘れた）。

When you step into the building, you will be welcomed by staffs and you will see Peranakan, indian and Arabic inspired decor and interior.
According to the staff, this is new concept for George Town Heritage Hotel as their other hotels are Peranakan design.

Due to being in the UNESCO heritage site, the building outer look must be remain unchanged or minimum alternation.

Inside, they are try to reuse original materials as much as possible such as window flame, beam etc...

入り口を入るとまず小さな噴水と馬車が目に入ります。そのまま建物に入るとスタッフさんが出迎えてくれます。

ホテル内部はインド～中東をコンセプトとしたインテリアや家具でまとめられています。
それに加えて少しアジア的な要素もあり、独特な雰囲気です。

また、もともとの素材も出来る限り使われているので建物自体も重厚な印象を受けます。
柱や梁など、ついつい見入ってしまいます。

それらは建物全体に当てはまるので、ただ「ホテルに泊まる」以上の感覚を覚えました。

After lobby cum reception area, there is dining hall area. They serves breakfast here and other times they offers complimentary coffee and tea, as well as snacks for in-house guests.

The area is quiet and cozy.

ロビーの奥には宿泊者用ダイニングエリアがあり、ここで朝食がサービスされます。
朝食以外の時間には宿泊者用にコーヒー、紅茶とお菓子が24時間提供されています。
そのため部屋には水しかありません。

Complementary snacks and drinks for in-house guest.

As they have 2nd floor, there is another drink and snack corner at the 2nd floor corridor as well. That side is open space and perhaps more privacy and relax feeling.

マンション2階にも同じようにコーヒー・紅茶が提供されている簡易的なラウンジエリアが踊り場にあるので、2階宿泊者はわざわざ1階に降りる必要がありません。

2階は踊り場が半屋外で陽がよく入りとても開放的でした。
